Kate was incredibly supportive of both me and my partner during labor. My goal was to have a few interventions as possible and I know we would not have achieved that without her help. She was tireless, upbeat and creative in finding different ways to help me cope during each stage. She involved my partner and enabled him to support me better which was really important to me. With my husband, she applied counter pressure through the hours of active labor. And when I was in transition and feeling really desperate, she helped me consider my options and encouraged me to stick it out while still allowing me me to make my own decision.

I found Kate's prenatal visit to be very helpful. She taught me to find the postures which helped me to open the pelvic bones the most. The other thing she helped me to practice was breathing through the contractions, which turned out to be very helpful during my labor. One thing we really appreciated was that she respected our opinions and provided good suggestions at the same time. We are happy to have her as our doula!

I met Kate two days before I went into labor she came to my house for our initial interview and right away I felt comfortable and very calm talking with her. She was very helpful with showing me different early labor techniques for relaxing my pelvic muscles and how to utilize different furniture in my house to find a comfy place when early labor starts! Once I got to the hospital and active labor began I knew I needed good support. I had my husband but it being our first time we both knew we needed more support than just us two and the nurses, so we called Kate and she came right away and helped me through all of it. She stood on one side my husband on the other and talked me through every push and contraction. It all happened so fast to me, and it was such an amazing experience! Kate helped with moral support and made me feel supported which I think is so important when you are in labor. it is one of the biggest days of your life. I couldn't of done it with out her help! She's amazing! I will definitely never forget her.
